2 Months!

I cannot believe it has already been two months!

The time is flying by and I am not really sure that I like that so much. Little Zee brings a lot of joy to our little family. I am totally in love with this guy!

I love that this month he started to smile and coo at us.

I also love that he loves his Mommy. That is just plain wonderful and makes my heart happy.

A Great Day!

Today was a long day, we had a lot of fun.

Bug does not like to take his naps, we read books, snuggled and I left him in his room. I came in to check on him a little while later and this is what I found.

Hilarious! I love this kid!

My friend HP came over today to visit with her two beautiful kiddos. We were pregnant at the same time with both of them. It was awesome.

Bug and Little P were chilling together.

Bean sure loved holding little S.

Little P really loved playing with Peanut.

He is a great Big Brother and is awesome at playing with the little people.

At the end of a very long day this is what we get.

And this.

I really, really love being a Mother.

SUPERDAD!

My husband is totally Superdad!

I love this guy, making lunch for the kiddos, feeding the baby. I think he is the King of Multitasking.

I think being an awesome Dad is totally hot!

Air Care

Bean and Peanut went to Air Care tonight to see how Air Care works. Peanut has the best scout leader ever, she really makes sure that the the cub scouts have great, meaningful activities planned.

The Activity girls joined with the cub scouts and went as well. It was a pretty neat tour and I learned a lot about Air Care and was really impressed. I also learned that my son asks really funny questions and he is totally serious about it.

I was not planning on going tonight, but was glad that I had the opportunity to join my children.

I am so grateful for the wonderful leaders that we have for our children at Church. I feel better sending my children to activities knowing that they are planned by people that genuinely care about them and that are putting a lot of time and effort into their callings.

Exhausted New Dad

Our good friends just had their first baby, he is just a few weeks younger than Zee.

I think this is one tired Daddy, but that sweet baby is totally worth it.

Guilty!

I noticed that things were really a bit too quiet for our house. I went to investigate and this is what I found.

Ummm.... yeah.

Those are totally piles of salt everywhere.

I mean it is fantastic to play in right?

I totally threw some over my shoulder just in case

Dog?

Okay, so Mother of the Year over here.

Bug pretty much falls asleep these days wherever he is when he is ready for a nap. I should totally take the time to get the poor child to sleep in his bed, but I keep telling myself that I am doing okay. All of the children eat everyday, get naps (in various places), are homeschooled, etc.

A nap is not the end of the world right?! Plus, I kind of like having him here in the room with me. I am committing to getting this boy back in his bed for naps by the end of the month, we'll see.

So, we scarfed some vegetable soup for dinner tonight. Awesome. Bug decided he was going to share with his "dog."

Ummmm yeah, that is a horse kid.

Whatever.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss' Birthday and National Reading day (or something like that), so we decided to make some swirly Dr. Seuss cookies to celebrate. I totally forgot (as usual) to take a picture of the finished product. I do have a few pictures of the kiddos totally making a mess and being awesome.

Some of us were very serious about making our cookies and others... not so much.

My very favorite part of the activity was watching Bug realize that the cookie dough was yummy. After this amazing realization, he totally switched from playing with the dough to trying to grab and consume as much as possible. This meant that some very thoughtfully designed cookies were consumed by our little cookie monster.

It didn't matter anyway though because I mistakenly thought the cookies would not spread "all that much" in the oven so they were placed very close together and the end result was a big pan of giant swirly cookie. The cookies was chopped into bits and passed around.

Cookie Fail.

After this fun little time together I ran over to a friend's house and got a hair cut, I needed it so badly and was so thankful to finally feel a little better about my post-baby self. Baby steps.

Once we got back, we quickly fed our children and got Bug into his PJs, then we took off for Bigby Coffee where our dear friend Chelsea and her boyfriend Lee were performing. We really enjoyed listening to Chels sing and Lee and Chels play. I think Lee and Chelsea are two of my children's favorite people in all of the world and my children were SO excited to get to see them perform.

After Bigby, we took off for the Yarn shop, it was a lock-in and I wanted to take little Zee and show him off to all of the Ladies. I really totally love that kid! We passed around my sweet boy and all was well. By the time I got home I was exhausted, what a busy but wonderful day!
